Trina Collins, also known by her pseudonym Poncho Army, is an artist who isn’t afraid to get some paint under her fingernails. She has appeared in numerous gallery shows, been a finalist in the Australian Stencil Art Prize in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and has also earned international success for her illustrated band posters. She holds a BA in Creative Arts from UOW and has been working full time as a graphic designer since 2004. Recently she has learnt the art of screen printing and has started to combine illustration, stencil art and screen printing to create a style that has been admired by young urban artists and high art collectors alike. An artist that wishes to engage people with her thought provoking works, Poncho Army will work tirelessly until the image in her head has been set on canvas.
